About the Role:

In this position, you will focus on leveraging IBM IT solutions within the Latin America region, utilizing technical and communication skills to enable and influence IBM business partners and customers.

You will be part of a team of TD Synnex architects, whose mission is to technically support business initiatives of IBM resellers in Latin America, while promoting IBM solutions for the TD Synnex ecosystem and the IT market.

As a member of a wider team, you will be surrounded by leaders and colleagues who are committed to helping and being helped in creating and delivering technical proof points through technical accelerators, including demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, Solution Design, Proposals, MVPs definitions, and Workshops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical solutions expertise to customers and their end-users in a consultative sales environment.
  • Develop complete solutions to meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain new and current technical expertise across various technologies, including data center, virtualization, security, mobility, unified communication, and cloud solutions.
  • Provide internal and external technical presentations and training.
  • Act as a visionary in recommending strategic vendors to enhance TD SYNNEX's line card.
  • Work with sales to identify new or existing customers for specific technologies.
  • Assist in determining developmental needs of other technical resources and provide training and/or mentoring as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, meeting attendance and punctuality standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience in understanding and presenting the value proposition of IT solutions and products.
  • Three years or more of proven experience working as a pre-sales specialist or IT architect.
  • Experience working with hybrid multicloud environments.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure alternatives with servers, virtual machines, and containers.
  • Good understanding of the multicloud environment concept.
  • Knowledge of storage solutions using main access methods.
  • Experience with main storage access technologies (Storage Area Networks).
  • Knowledge of different multi-disk architectures for protecting data stored on disk (RAID, D-RAID, Mirroring, Erasure Code, etc).
  • Good understanding of cyber resiliency of storage environments, snapshots, and immutability.
  • Good knowledge about Software Defined Storage.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of Backup/Restore solutions and processes.
Personal Qualities:

  • Good at working with heterogeneous and dynamic teams.
Desirable Experience:
  • Work experience on an enterprise product vendor like IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.
  • Experience with the IT solution sizing and pricing process.
  • Good knowledge about cloud solutions and its adoptions.
  • Good understanding of IT containers platforms, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift.
  • Knowledge of IBM Cloud Paks products.
  • Knowledge of low-cost, high-density storage and tape libraries.
