At Vertiv, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
- Calculate costs and prepare budgets
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Lead and develop self-driving teams
- Manage people, including strong leadership skills and ability to get results through mentoring
- Ensure that any new employee follows an induction process
- Monitor competences for the team and develop autonomy
- Ensure working standards are respected during operations
- Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team
- Manage the team on best practice and establish standard policies and procedures
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, and organize delegation
- Conduct annual appraisals, salary review, career interviews, succession planning, and give feedback
- Perform OJT of the team every day on standards and methodologies implemented
- Congratulate and recognize the team for improvements
- Ensure a positive social climate
- Manage productivity and capex projects related to production areas
- Ensure enforcement of health, safety, and environmental rules
- Ensure corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment and sustainable TPM
- Define work standards with the help of support functions
- Strong communication skills to interact with corporate personalities
- Be responsible for customer satisfaction
- Responsible for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements, and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities
- Be accountable for SQCDP performance and profitability of the APUs
- Ensure optimal use of equipment (OEE)
- Assign and check corrective actions on recurring problems with APU and Plant support departments
- Escalate at Site level the issues that can't be solved
- Validate monthly the demonstrated capacity of the APU and communicate to SIOP/MPS
- Weekly commit on MPS
- Respect daily the MPS contract
- In case of daily MPS respect deviation, take necessary measures to have respected weekly MPS at end of the week
- Reports to: Director of Operations Plant Manager
- Schooling required: BS degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Metal Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience required: At minimum 7-10 years of experience
- Management or Independent Contributor: Salaried Position
- English level: Bilingual 90%
- Self-Awareness: Strong transformational leadership and emotional Intelligence, effective communication, Strategic thinking, Problem-solving, Self-development objective
- Computational knowledge: MS Office, Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
- Experience managing a headcount of 1000+ people
- Desired Six Sigma Green Belt certified and exposure to Operative systems based on Toyota Production Systems
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP system
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, safety, and labor relations
