We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Rumzer. As a Product Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing the environmental impact and sustainability of products throughout their life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze materials used in products and packaging to ensure compliance with global regulations such as EU REACH, PFAS, TSCA, RoHS, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) for manufacturers producing complex, engineered assemblies, and analyze data related to materials, production, transportation, energy usage, carbon emissions, and end-of-life considerations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product design and minimize environmental impact, and develop reports and recommendations based on regulatory assessments and LCA findings.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in life cycle analysis methodologies, and apply this knowledge to drive sustainable product development.
Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, or other relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in product design, preferably in electrical equipment or medical devices.
- Exposure to LCA software tools and data analysis, or a strong desire to learn LCA.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in new product development/design is preferred.
