Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote (Mexico or worldwide)

About the Role:

The Senior Accounting Manager is a key member of Medical Departures Inc.'s financial management team. Responsible for overseeing accounting activities worldwide, this role requires excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as a deep understanding of global business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and monitor financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Finance Operations: Review payment transactions before sending them for approval.
  • Financial Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, including accounting software and other financial tools.
  • Audit and Tax Compliance: Act as the main contact with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings.
  • Other Compliances: Maintain the Shareholder Register and Minute of Board Meeting to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with related laws and regulations.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls and/or workflows to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as currency risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's goals.
  • Leadership and Development: Manage and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulators.
  • Payment Gates: Support advocacy and communication for Payment Operations across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience.
  • Experience with either U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
  • XERO key user experience.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheet experience.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Public Accounting (Audit) Experience at a Big 5 Global Accounting Firm (optional).
  • Public Company Financial Reporting experience (optional).
  • Zoho CRM experience (optional).
  • Full Cycle Accounting experience, including Revenue Recognition.
