About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Te Connectivity. As a key member of our Purchasing Team, you will be responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services, as well as evaluating vendor reliability and developing new supply sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels
  • Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure best quality at best value
  • Develop specifications for new contract orders and recommend cost-saving proposals
  • Provide Demand/S&OP Forecast to suppliers and track supplier shut-downs, holiday, and vacation closings
  • Help drive all relevant Procurement KPIs with a high focus on delivery, quality, and costs
  • Enforce TE policy regarding Supplier Portal compliance and act as first point of contact for system access/navigation issues

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing
  • Excel advanced skills
  • English fluency in written and conversational communication
  • SAP experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work under pressure
