Job Title: UX Product Designer

About the Role:

Nasdaq is seeking a UX Product Designer to join our team. As a UX Product Designer, you will be responsible for researching, ideating, designing, testing, validating, and measuring solutions to meet client needs and business goals through new and existing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product personnel, business stakeholders, technology representatives, and various functions to define product strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Create navigation structures and information designs, and construct prototypes, storyboards, and mockups to effectively communicate designs to product management and development.
  • Work closely with technology representatives as products are being developed to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Perform role activities, such as researching, prototyping, and designing software, independently and with minimal direction from the manager.
  • Guide product management and feature teams in defining functional interaction requirement specifications.
  • Create mockups and prototypes interaction designs, including user interaction models, information architectures, and navigation models, wireframes, and screen flows.
  • Plan and execute research on mockups, prototypes, and existing interfaces, analyze study artifacts to create actionable findings, create recommendations for improvement, and iterate designs based on research recommendations.
  • Facilitate design workshops, ideation sessions, and client co-creation sessions.
  • Communicate and present user needs and design solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of metrics that measure product success, ensure that the interface is measured properly through requirements, and monitor client usage of software features.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a discipline related to Human Computer Interactions, Graphic Design, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a user experience design role.
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals, including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, web-based, and mobile applications, and usability best practices.
  • Proficiency with wireframing, prototyping, and/or interface design software, such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD, or Balsamiq, and general knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop.
  • Design-related professional certifications are helpful but not required, such as Certified Usability Analyst, awarded by Human Factors International, or UX Certification, awarded by NN/g.
