About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Core Interiors team as a Body Interior manufacturing expert. This team is responsible for supporting our Global suppliers with manufacturing technical expertise as they grow their business with Ford Motor Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to Global suppliers in the areas of manufacturing, process planning, and implementation.
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility assessments and develop plans for new technologies and high-risk commodities.
- Collaborate with Technical Experts and affected regions to develop manufacturing feasibility risk assessments and manufacturing readiness plans.
- Lead the development and maintenance of manufacturing standards for Seats and Restraints.
- Drive robust sourcing risk assessments on Seats and Restraints suppliers.
- Work closely with Product Development and STA teams to develop global lessons learned and prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Five years minimum experience in manufacturing, process planning, and implementation.
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent, MBA/MS preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Seats, Seat Structures, Restraints, Seatbelts, Airbags, Manufacturing, Welding, and Assembly process(es).
- Ability to speak and write in the English language fluently to effectively communicate with global teams.
