Responsibilities:

* Monitor economical, technical, and social market trends and risks for assigned categories, sub-categories, and suppliers
* Implement worldwide purchasing strategies for assigned categories and sub-categories based on customer/internal stakeholder requirements and market data/trends
* Negotiate full congruence of customer terms, conditions, and requirements with suppliers and mitigate deviations between internal and external stakeholders
* Execute benchmarks and commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve customer RFQ/project and strategic purchasing objectives
* Identify and drive implementation of VA/VE ideas
* Negotiate and implement terms and conditions as well as cash and capital improvement measures with suppliers
* Prepare and continuously update the Category Statement for customer RFQs/projects
* Ensure compliant supplier onboarding, award, and release processes
* Conclude relevant supplier contracts (e.g., Framework Agreement, Service Level Agreement, Quality Assurance Agreement, including adequate pre-agreements) in the range of assigned responsibility
* Manage the assigned global supplier portfolio based on customer/internal stakeholder requirements, including identification and onboarding of new capable suppliers to enhance competition
* Derive measures with suppliers to safeguard capacities for the to-be-delivered goods and services
* Manage escalations with suppliers, especially in events seriously endangering LEONI production and/or deliveries to customers
* Recover non-conformance and non-performance costs from suppliers (in escalation)
* Monitor and report allotted KPIs and develop and implement adequate measures to resolve deviations
* Support clarification of invoice discrepancies on prices, terms, and conditions triggered by Accounting
* Meet suppliers regularly to exchange information and tackle actual topics, including regular on-site visits at suppliers to stay up-to-date with their technology
* Support on special tasks based on upper-level decision
* Adhere to all applicable WSD processes, company guidance, and legal requirements
* Prepare RFQs for standard and design parts, negotiate part price and tooling cost to reach project targets, initiate the sourcing committee, organize the kick-off meeting, and monitor the development of design parts

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role (Logistics, Supply Chain, Purchasing)
* Business fluent language skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage
