About the Role

This position reports to the Senior Factory Controller and is part of the Electrification Services division at ABB. As a Financial Operations Manager, you will act as a business partner to the relevant business manager and lead local finance teams to optimize the financial performance within an assigned division/business area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze financial data to evaluate various business alternatives and support effective business decisions.
  • Recommend business solutions to improve profitability and productivity, with a focus on cost management and growth drivers.
  • Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.
  • Establish and oversee processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures, as well as external regulatory requirements.
  • Implement internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations.
  • Ensure timely and efficient communication with relevant stakeholders to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality, and efficiency.
  • Participate in the monthly closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany billing.
  • Manage work-in-process inventory, project job costing, oversee billing and revenue recognition, and lead past due receivable collections and customer disputes resolution.
  • Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting processes across projects throughout the business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar.
  • Experience with ERP – SAP preferred.
  • Strong command of English language with above-average communication skills – both written and verbal.
