About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as a Control and Reporting Accountant. This role will be responsible for analyzing, recording, and providing documentation and accounting adjustments to ensure financial closure of the company.

The successful candidate will prepare, integrate, and execute financial reports in HFM, ensuring reliable information is provided to shareholders based on corporate policies from PepsiCo.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with period-end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals to ensure accuracy of financial statements during period-end closing.
  • Collaborate with PepsiCo divisions on various accounting transactions.
  • Prepare and record income tax journal entries.
  • Partner with US Corporate Consolidation Center of Excellence on accounting matters.
  • Analyze balance sheet reviews to ensure no unexpected financial impacts.
  • Execute financial reports for PepsiCo (Smartview / FDM - HFM).
  • Participate in periodic, quarterly, and annual reports required by the organization.
  • Generate clear communication with OU, Intercompany counterparts, and other users throughout the region and in the SSC.
  • Maintain internal control procedures and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Support external audit requests.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested.

Qualifications

  • Accounting degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish), with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with US teams.
  • Experience and knowledge in US GAAP (General Accounting Principles).
  • Knowledge desirable in ERP systems: SAP, HFM, S/4HANA.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in data analytics.
  • Good time management skills, self-directed, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting processes (Bank Management/ AR/ GL/Intercompanies/ Financial Reporting/Taxes) and business standards for integrated financial analysis.

About the Salary

The estimated salary for this role is around $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
