About the Role

The Technical Application Specialist is a key member of our Global Support Team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of software, network systems, and hardware, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support: Provide timely and accurate solutions to customers via phone, email, or chat, fully documenting and escalating issues as necessary.
  2. Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot client-server software application issues, including SQL, web servers, credit card payment terminals, network printers, and Android/iOS devices.
  3. Customer-Centric Approach: Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or correct system or software failures, utilizing customer-centric interpersonal skills and providing technical product knowledge.
  4. Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with software updates and changes to provide timely and accurate solutions to customers.
  5. System Setup and Configuration: Assist with system setup, configuration, and/or use of programming and integration tools and techniques that aid in the customization, extension, and integration of products.
  6. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Address concerns brought up by other departments, such as customer experience or sales.
  7. Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Assist in mentoring other team members and contribute to the department's knowledge base articles and FAQs.
Requirements
  1. Advanced English Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  2. Customer Experience Skills: Ability to stay calm with customers and provide excellent customer service.
  3. System Application Fundamentals: Knowledge of specific system application fundamentals and business processes in the Accounting area, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Out of Balance Reconciliation, etc.
  4. Inventory/Distribution Experience: AND/OR Inventory/Distribution experience, including Buying, selling, storing, transferring Inventory, Cycle Counts, Physical Inventory.
  5. Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented and analytical skills, with the ability to examine information, ask questions, and dig into details.
  6. Independent Learner: Desire to dig in and learn, in addition to provided training and support.
  7. Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with teams in Monterrey, India, and the US.
  8. Support Environment Experience: Experience in a support environment with high call volumes.
Qualifications
  1. Applicable Experience: 3+ years of applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
  2. Industry Knowledge/Experience: Industry knowledge/experience.
  3. Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, ERP applications, or analytical tools.
  4. Business Process Knowledge: Knowledge of financial, manufacturing, retail, or distribution business processes.
  5. Database Administration: Database administration, installation, and configuration experience.
