Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team in the Music Royalties department. As a key member of our FP&A team, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support business decision-making. Your expertise will help drive business growth, optimize financial performance, and ensure the accuracy of music royalties reflected in our financials.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning and decision-making.
- Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to stakeholders, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather inputs and understand drivers of financial performance.
- Music Royalties Management
- Ensure the accurate reflection of music royalties in our financials and timely payment as per agreements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of financial analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure their growth and success.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process simplification and improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and ensure seamless integration.
Requirements
- Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in music royalties or a related field.
- Skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools, with experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements and optimize financial performance.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge
- Solid understanding of the entertainment industry, with experience in music royalties, theatrical distribution, or related fields.
- Technical Skills
- Experience with Essbase, SAP, or other financial software packages.
- Leadership Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in people management, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
