About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Molex. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for attending focus accounts and mapping a hybrid market (Home appliance, automotive, industrial) in Mexico. Your primary goal will be to create value with customers by following our company values, working to establish long-term relationships while growing a territory's sales revenue.

Molex is a leading manufacturer of interconnect solutions, serving multiple markets such as Automotive, Home Appliance, Datacom, Telecom, Industrial, Medical, and others. We function as Tier 1, 2, and 3 for prominent brands in these markets. As part of Koch Industries, acquired in 2013, we offer over 100,000 products and are committed to attracting the best talent in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize product sales based on decision makers' needs.
  • Create value for customers and the company.
  • Apply opportunity cost to each business decision.
  • Travel to meet customers who are not local.
  • Create relationships with our internal Molex customers.
  • Find new business opportunities.
  • Map a territory, run revenue reports, and analyze data.
  • Ensure all revenue applies to your territory.
  • Solve customers' issues.
  • Follow up on current and future projects.
  • Negotiate to close projects.
  • Create marketing initiatives to reinforce current relationships.

Requirements

  • Preferably, a person with knowledge of the Home Appliance market.
  • Preferably, a Mechatronics, Electronic, or Industrial Engineer.
  • Familiarity with Tier 1, Tier 2 business.
  • Able to easily learn our products and architecture.
  • Proactive in seeking customers and visiting them regularly.
  • Understanding of strategy and report interpretation.
  • Emphasis on customer relationships.
  • Multitasking, covering multiple follow-up projects.
  • Stress management.
  • Customer relationships based on long-term commitments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Open to hybrid markets.
  • Business English proficiency.
