The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process for LATÉCOÈRE's programs. This includes developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating business awards and supplier agreements, and ensuring compliance with divisional purchasing targets and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Strategy Development: Develops and implements sourcing strategies to ensure optimal cost and quality.
- Negotiation and Supplier Management: Negotiates business awards and supplier agreements, ensuring alignment with divisional purchasing targets and customer requirements.
- Totally Cost Management: Secures competitive advantages through effective management of total cost, including technology, quality, on-time delivery, price, lead times, minimum order quantity, inventory, and payment terms.
- Risk Surveillance and Mitigation: Coordinates risk surveillance and mitigation efforts to prepare the program supply base for production ramp-up.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Maintains supplier accountability for quality and delivery performance, supporting recovery plans as needed.
- Cost Forecasting: Monitors and forecasts key cost drivers and market factors impacting program Bills of Materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Promotes continuous improvement to enhance business flows, performance, and supplier relationships.
Requirements:
- Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to drive successful supplier relationships.
- 5+ years of Purchasing experience in high-quality manufacturing environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
