Job Title: Risk and Control Leader

HSBC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk and Control Leader to join our team in Mexico GSC. As a key member of our Non-Financial Risk Team, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of all risk management activities across MSS Operations in the Mexico GSC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategy and execution of all risk management activities across MSS Operations in the Mexico GSC.
  • Principal point of contact across Risk & Control Operations management for the Mexico GSC.
  • Provide commercially based monitoring of risks, services and processes against agreed group/functional standards and external requirements.
  • Contribute to and communicate a powerful and compelling vision that inspires and engages people with the HSBC Values and goals as the basis of an inclusive, high performance, control focused culture.
  • Ensure MSS Operations meet the strategic focus around risk management.
  • Ability to proactively influence and challenge MSS Operations teams on their operational control design and effectiveness.
  • Drive and encourage constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and taking prompt action to address any activities and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.
  • Provide constructive challenge to existing practices/proposed initiatives and generate new and innovative solutions to address complex risk issues facing MSS Operations.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to drive efficiency, resulting in risk reduction and sustainable saves/achievement of cost targets.
  • Support a focus and culture on creating continuous process improvement (CPI) and sustainable change.
