About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Stateside. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and security of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Identify, isolate, and resolve network problems to minimize impact on the business.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with business and application owners on design, troubleshooting, support, and documentation of new application deployment and enhancements.
  • Network Monitoring and Security: Design monitoring best practices for all network infrastructure services and evaluate new and emerging network management and security tools, products, and technologies.
  • Application and Network Design: Engineer application and network designs to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and security best practices.
  • Project Management: Create end-to-end project tasks and be accountable for the entire project's completion.
  • Network Maintenance and Support: Perform scheduled and emergency network maintenance, provide day-to-day support of the LAN, WAN, and WLAN, and manage and maintain network and security documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and Customer Service: Work with application owners on troubleshooting issues, provide strong customer service, and facilitate collaboration between project teams and clients.
  • Internal Audits and Reviews: Perform internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 6+ years of overall information technology experience, 5+ years of experience with networking and security technologies, and 2+ years working with Splunk.
  • Skills: Solid background in troubleshooting Layer 2-7 network technologies, experience with network automation using VBS, Ansible, or Python, and experience with network monitoring tools, such as Solarwinds.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, results-oriented, self-motivated, and high-energy.
