Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

Cost Control:

  1. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses.
  2. Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing.
  3. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.

Inventory Management:

  1. Collaborate with the production and inventory management teams to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  2. Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce lead times.
  3. Monitor and analyze inventory metrics to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Reporting and Analysis:

  1. Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  2. Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Proven experience managing a team of buyers across multiple locations.

Skills:

  1. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  2. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  3. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  6. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
