Position: Junior Product Management Associate

Join our dynamic team at Thomson Reuters' Corporate Tax & Trade Product Organization, where we are expanding our team of Product Managers in our Mexico City office. We seek a Junior Product Management Associate who is driven by purpose and not just seeking employment. We are in search of a proactive individual with a unique combination of enthusiasm and innovative problem-solving abilities to evaluate customer challenges, business requirements, and opportunities, delivering state-of-the-art solutions that redefine possibilities.

The Junior Product Management Associate is a dedicated learner and self-motivated individual aspiring to grow into a Product Manager role. They are inventive problem-solvers with foundational skills capable of analyzing customer challenges, business needs, and opportunities, providing solutions to support the Product Management team. This role requires the energy to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, recognizing that it is both a learning and action-oriented position. The individual in this role is expected to develop rapidly, enhance their skills to increase their impact, and drive comprehensive product management with guidance and mentorship from more experienced Product Managers and Leaders.

Key Responsibilities

In this role as a Junior Product Management Associate, you will:

  • Cultivate strong product intuition by interpreting and evaluating customer challenges, business needs, and opportunities, proposing potential solutions with moderate guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of exceptional capabilities and products by assisting in maintaining the product roadmap and collaborating closely with development teams and UX to execute the roadmap efficiently. This includes representing the customer perspective for engineering teams, prioritizing the product backlog based on customer and business value, and utilizing metrics to track and assess progress.
  • Exhibit leadership by taking full responsibility for a feature/product, ensuring its performance and reliability, and providing our clients with a positive experience. You will demonstrate your ability to learn from experiences, recover from setbacks, and effectively communicate the product vision to colleagues.

Candidate Profile

You are an ideal candidate if your background includes:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or computer science preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Experience in product management internships and/or early career roles such as Product Owner or Business Analyst (BA).
  • Exposure to enterprise software, including ERP systems, Workflow, Tax, Trade, Supply Chain, Finance, Real Estate, or other B2B sectors.
  • A technical background in product management, including platforms, API governance and management, workflow and collaboration, and databases.
  • Previous experience collaborating closely with customers to address their challenges and needs.
  • A strong sense of urgency and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering solutions within strict timelines and embracing challenges.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate the aspiration to further develop the following skills.
