About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Upstream Planning Manager to join our team at Schneider Electric Gruppe. As a key member of our Supply Chain organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our upstream planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure they are prepared to meet Schneider Electric demand.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of planners managing key suppliers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Strategic Planning: Lead the development and formulation of long and mid-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives related to Materials Planning Management.
- Process Improvement: Drive best practices among direct reports and the Upstream Team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Procurement to develop joint business plans for critical suppliers, ensuring alignment and coordination across functions.
- Forecasting: Implement a monthly process to track, monitor, and improve monthly forecast accuracy and bias with critical suppliers.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement supplier escalation processes to drive stability and minimize disruptions.
- Supplier Performance: Monitor supplier performance and proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability.
- Metrics and Standards: Create performance metrics and standards for all aspects of materials management and implement improvement initiatives to drive excellence.
Requirements:
- Language: Fluent in English; Spanish is an asset.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, including Supplier Management, SIOP, S&OP, Integrated Business Planning, Demand Planning, Procurement, Operations, Inventory Management, and Capacity Management.
- Skills:
- Global perspective with the ability to define and deploy corporate strategy.
- Strong influence and communication skills to convince stakeholders and drive change.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop talent.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
- Ability to work in a team environment between Operations, Customer Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance, and interact regularly with senior management regarding goals and accomplishments.
