Capital Markets Gateway (CMG) is a financial technology firm that is revolutionizing the equity capital markets (ECM). Our mission is to provide a seamless and efficient platform for investors and underwriters to connect and access integrated ECM data and analytics.
The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and architecture to support large data volumes and various access mechanisms. Your work will enable our clients to access mission-critical data and analytics to make informed decisions in global capital markets.
Responsibilities- Explore and load various data sets from market data sources.
- Transform, reconcile, and integrate source data into easily consumable data products for our clients.
- Contribute to the development of a scalable data architecture to support large data volumes and various access mechanisms.
- Design and implement new data systems and infrastructure.
- Advance sound data engineering practices to automate processing, testing, and quality checks.
- Higher education degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and relational databases, experience with SnowSQL is a plus.
- Experience using scripting languages such as Python and shell script for common data processing tasks.
- Analytical skills to understand complex requirements, process large volumes of information, and design creative solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Snowflake and Kubernetes is desirable.
- Experience with DBT and ARGO is a plus.
- Experience working with financial market data, including fundamentals, pricing, and corporate actions, is a big plus.
- Some analytics and AI experience is advantageous.
