About MX Data Scientist Job

In a fast-paced environment, Getinge's goal is to improve patient outcomes and efficiency through innovative solutions. This role is part of the Digital Engineering IT group and contributes significantly in shaping data governance protocols and data quality assurance processes.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Create ML-based solutions addressing business needs using modern concepts and best practices
  • Work with LLM or GenAI capabilities to develop effective data science solutions for business use-cases
  • Perform extensive data visualizations and EDA to better understand existing data usage in solving business problems
  • Develop code to categorize, store, and catalog data clusters, ensuring they are ready for use in ML solutions
  • Run large-scale experiments involving unsupervised pre-training, fine-tuning, retrieval augmentation, and prompt engineering
  • Maintain the good health of models running in production by handling MLOps as necessary
  • Scale models (LLM or otherwise) for use in production environments
  • Design high-quality prompts and templates guiding LLM behavior and responses
  • Craft prompts to elicit specific information or control model output, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and language fluency
  • Evaluate LLM models on statistical tests, business metrics, and bias and regulatory metrics
  • Investigate current experimentation practices and causal inferencing/ML techniques, identifying opportunities for improving methodology and best practices
  • Develop and execute advanced data-driven experiments to optimize various aspects of Getinge's business

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Data Science, or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and others
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, including knowledge of Pandas and NumPy
  • Proficiency in popular ML frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Proficiency in popular data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly
  • Experience with big data tools like Hadoop and Spark
  • Understanding ethical considerations in Data Science, including privacy and bias
  • Taken relevant courses in Math, Statistics, and Data Science required for a Data Scientist role
  • Experience sourcing data, EDA, data wrangling and cleansing, reading, and writing data in a hyper-scaler environment
  • Familiarity with the data science pipeline (end-to-end) and associated tools
  • Experience designing and implementing data science solutions in a hyper-scaler environment
  • Experience using a notebook-based environment and opinions on what works best
  • Familiarity with LLM technologies for building enterprise-wide solutions
  • Experience with fine-tuning vs inference with LLMs
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain discipline while remaining flexible
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with internal customers at all levels in a team environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
