About the Position:

The Carrier Air Conditioning division is seeking a highly capable individual to become a part of our SAP Finance team. This role encompasses the overall management of SAP Finance system architecture. The successful candidate will be tasked with proposing the most effective business processes to achieve or surpass organizational goals and objectives. Additionally, the role involves benchmarking SAP processes against similar industries to suggest scalable, cost-effective solutions that align with our existing SAP framework. Acting as the liaison between business and technology teams, the candidate will facilitate the delivery of a cohesive solution. Other duties include providing operational support for current applications, assisting IT leadership in defining strategic IT plans, and evaluating and delivering next-generation business solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, deployment, and support of software solutions for ECC and S4 HANA products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee implementation projects in line with Carrier IT's methodologies and governance framework, collaborating with other IT teams to ensure solution designs are well-coordinated and aligned with the overall ERP enterprise architecture.
  • Design, develop, and test system solutions to meet business requirements, in accordance with the global solution template.
  • Configure the Finance module to fulfill business objectives, including integration points with other SAP modules or applications, adhering to SAP best practices.
  • Draft functional specifications for custom developments and work closely with the development team to ensure successful construction and testing.
  • Examine existing business processes and data, providing proactive and constructive recommendations for enhancements.
  • Create solution prototypes during the design phase for future models.
  • Oversee solution development to ensure compliance with established standards.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Proven experience in defining and maintaining global templates and playbooks for Finance scenarios.
  • Strong business analysis skills with experience in business process analysis and redesign, including process mapping and implementation.
  • Experience in the design, delivery, and support of SAP Central Finance (CFIN) and S/4 HANA environments.
  • Leadership experience in the Finance workstream for an ECC/S/4 HANA Finance end-to-end implementation within a global manufacturing context.
  • Expertise in the configuration and implementation of Financial Accounting (FI), Managerial Accounting (CO), and Central Finance (CFIN), with a solid understanding of integration with other SAP modules.
  • In-depth knowledge of Corporate Finance Processes supported by Central Finance, including central payments, open item management, credit management, and shared services.
  • A conceptual thinker with the ability to devise compelling solutions that consider business objectives alongside regulatory and technical requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a global team environment, effectively communicate, and achieve results is essential.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of working with minimal oversight.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel may be required based on business needs, potentially up to 25% of the time.
