Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the sourcing process from CAA preparation to project closure, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Participate in project meetings and activities, supporting project awards and ensuring compliance with Valeo's sourcing strategy.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define mutual commitments and conditions for Pre-SoCo, SoCo, and SOP, ensuring QCD requirements are met.
  • Identify critical parts and review contingency plans with related project teams, requesting PM arbitration when necessary.
  • Work with segment leaders to propose sourcing strategies aligned with Group Segment Strategy, ensuring compliance with Valeo's procurement policies.
  • Select suppliers based on compliant segment panels and liaise with project and segment organizations to identify bundle opportunities.
  • Assess pre-selected suppliers' risk impacts on the project, proposing mitigation plans and ensuring they are properly recorded in PuMa.
  • Develop lotting and RFP tactics, anticipating the use of auctions with the project team.
  • Coordinate S-VRF definition and plan supplier design reviews to ensure supplier understanding, capture improvement proposals, and obtain supplier acceptance of Valeo requirements.
  • Install competition between suppliers, bringing at least two suppliers to the same technical level and negotiating RFQ and/or auction processes.
  • Perform RFQ processes via PuMa and Auction, leveraging commodity organizations to reach pre-sourcing, sourcing decisions, and meet project targets.
  • Ensure timely sign-off with segments for all supplier contracts related to the project, from development contracts to mass production.
  • Coordinate with PG/PL PPD, Platform Lead Buyer, and other project buyers to ensure project compliance with commodity strategy, localization needs, and global leverage and securitization of the supply base.
  • Manage achievement of all project milestones related to suppliers and follow progress of PQA stages.
  • Define and control communication flows and contents between project teams and suppliers, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly stored in PuMa.
  • Make the best possible use of all PuMa features and promote its usage among project teams.
  • Pilot and forecast the project purchasing index and lead the productivity action plan (VP & PTBV) to reach CAA targets.
  • Ensure proper transfer to Serial Production, including productivity actions yet to implement (PTBV).
  • For advanced purchasing (P3/P2):
    • Propose and validate with commodity organizations pre-sourcing target suppliers.
    • Manage all contractual aspects to protect Valeo intellectual property and segment panel.
