About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Master to join our team at Marriott Cancun An All-Inclusive Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare special meals or substitute items to meet guest preferences and dietary needs;
  2. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions;
  3. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, maintaining strict food safety protocols;
  4. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to present dishes in a visually appealing manner;
  5. Maintain accurate food logs to track inventory and prepare orders;
  6. Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared to ensure consistency and excellence;
  7. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods to maintain efficient kitchen operations;
  8. Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials, promoting creativity and reducing waste;
  9. Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock menu items to ensure seamless service delivery;
  10. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists;
  11. Prepare cold foods, adhering to refrigeration guidelines to prevent spoilage;
  12. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees, serving as a role model in leadership and professionalism;
  13. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and respect among colleagues;
  14. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, frequently reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping to perform duties efficiently;
  15. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, adhering to ergonomic guidelines;
  16. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, embracing a spirit of flexibility and adaptability.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
