About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Culinary Master to join our team at Marriott Cancun An All-Inclusive Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare special meals or substitute items to meet guest preferences and dietary needs;
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions;
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, maintaining strict food safety protocols;
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to present dishes in a visually appealing manner;
- Maintain accurate food logs to track inventory and prepare orders;
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared to ensure consistency and excellence;
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods to maintain efficient kitchen operations;
- Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials, promoting creativity and reducing waste;
- Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock menu items to ensure seamless service delivery;
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists;
- Prepare cold foods, adhering to refrigeration guidelines to prevent spoilage;
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees, serving as a role model in leadership and professionalism;
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and respect among colleagues;
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, frequently reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping to perform duties efficiently;
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, adhering to ergonomic guidelines;
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, embracing a spirit of flexibility and adaptability.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
