Join Hewlett Packard as a Strategic Category Planning Lead to drive platform and commodity transition planning across our global platforms. Your focus will be on the entire life cycle, from pre-Product On Ramp (POR) to End of Manufacturing, with an emphasis on ramp-up (New Product Introduction, NPI) and ramp-down (End-of-Life, EOL).

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements, minimize gaps, and maximize margin. This involves analyzing demand versus supply, aligning with commodity planning, and tracking key feature values.

To succeed in this role, you must develop playbooks for low coverage and excess situations to communicate effectively with markets and drive actions. You will also collaborate with procurement on long-term supply and commodity roadmaps.

The ideal candidate will anticipate E&O and aging risks, and create communication processes to mitigate these risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and identify recommendations.
  • Establish metrics to measure business performance and develop processes to identify and address performance gaps.
  • Manage market research projects and prepare synthesized intelligence reports.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across business planning activities.
  • Contribute to priority projects with creative insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop business plans and identify new opportunities.
  • Develop go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.
  • Identify cutting-edge analytical tools and methods for key business decisions.

This role is suitable for individuals with strong analytical backgrounds looking for broader career paths within business areas over time.

We are seeking candidates with at least 8 years of experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related fields, along with an advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.

Other required skills include extensive knowledge of research methodology for key business issues, excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.

Candidates should also have the ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis, as well as extensive knowledge and understanding of business analysis using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.

In addition, we require strong business acumen and technical knowledge within the area of responsibility, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives.

Expected Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
