Job Summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations, as well as developing and implementing facility-specific EHS programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Company EHS programs and develop facility-specific procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and Company requirements.
  • Participate in the development of EHS program components, including operational procedures, work instructions, training materials, and standards.
  • Integrate Company and facility-level EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection, and safe operating conditions.
  • Report and document EHS performance, including integration with engineering and program documentation and schedules.
  • Reduce liability within the facility and ensure all safety and environmental recommendations are completed and documented.
  • Compile process safety information for each covered process and keep it readily accessible to process employees and management.
  • Use a structured process scorecard to measure and communicate Safety/Environmental performance with both leading results and indicators.
  • Track and regularly report the status of regulatory compliance and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain all governmental and corporate database records.
  • Organize and control the EH&S functions of the site to ensure an effective accident prevention program is maintained.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of EHS regulations and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS programs. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
