Job Summary

SGI Global, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Justice Program Specialist to support the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Mexico City, Mexico. The successful candidate will provide professional and administrative support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Located in Mexico City, Mexico, the position requires travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States, and other countries.
  • Assist INL in developing and implementing Rule of Law (ROL) projects and collaborate with Government of Mexico (GOM) counterparts to identify needs, draft requirements, and propose solutions.
  • Support INL in working with US Government inter-agency colleagues, international organizations, and foreign governments outside of Mexico to coordinate, develop, and implement projects.
  • Develop ROL projects, requirements documents, and project schedules.
  • Maintain ROL Law project documentation.
  • Perform other duties as required by INL for this position.
Qualifications
  • Mexican Citizen or Third Country National.
  • Spanish FSI level 4/4.
  • English FSI level 3/3.
  • Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice, law enforcement, social sciences, or related field, and a master's degree in any of the above-mentioned fields.
  • A combination of ten (10) years of experience in criminal justice, with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the new accusatorial criminal justice system, basic understanding of the U.S. legal system.
  • Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy RSO security background check.
  • Ability to effectively deal with senior U.S. and GOM officials.
  • Experience in drafting various types of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
