Job OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Valeo, San Luis Potosi.
This role offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Manage People:
- Ensure safety protocols are followed by your team, including LOTO procedures.
- Responsible for the induction of all newcomers, including temporary staff.
- Organize and schedule training sessions to ensure team members understand procedures, tools, and standards.
- Train your team on Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, Maintenance 5 WHYs, red tags use, and other essential skills.
- Analyze team flexibility and multi-skills needs, developing training plans to enhance autonomy and improvement spirit.
- Maintain certification processes for team members, updating flexibility grids in real-time.
- Manage daily tasks, including absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, and Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure standard reactions are applied rigorously, escalating issues according to standards.
- Participate in monthly meetings with your team to review main objectives.
- Responsible for personnel involvement, ensuring a positive social climate.
- Conduct annual appraisals and salary reviews.
- Promote ERIM and TPM principles.
- Maintain Standards:
- Perform daily OJT (On-the-Job Training) with your team on implemented standards.
- Enforce health, safety, environmental, and site rules within your perimeter, ensuring respect from anyone entering.
- Ensure updated maintenance work instructions exist for your area.
- Implement and enforce working standards, including safety, work instructions, quality, 5S, product respect, OK start after maintenance intervention, and preventive maintenance.
- Define work standards with the help of your team members.
- Deploy and utilize ERIM standards effectively, including Maintenance Line QRQC root cause analysis with production, red tags solving and follow-up, Maintenance 5 WHYs or PDCA/FTA on assigned topics, and OJT of production on delegated preventive maintenance.
- Manage Maintenance Tasks:
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed, adhering to Maintenance KPI targets in your area.
- Prepare scheduled maintenance tasks, respecting planned times communicated to Logistics and Production for tasks requiring equipment off.
- In case of reliability issues, implement or ensure Quick Response implementation to minimize equipment non-availability, which may involve ordering, repairing, or getting spare parts in emergency situations.
- For corrective actions, allocate appropriate resources to minimize stoppages.
- Ensure actions to avoid recurrence are defined and taken.
- React promptly to issues, escalating them to APU and Maintenance management when necessary.
- Support your team on major technical issues.
- Manage Continuous Improvement:
- Lead action plans to improve Maintenance department performance, maximizing equipment availability for production.
- Participate in equipment performance control and improvement, such as cycle time measurements and micro-stoppages observation sessions.
- Reach and maintain a dynamic and efficient Proposals of Improvements system.
- Participate in safety and environment risks reduction.
- Lead Safety QRQC for all accidents and near-misses involving Maintenance personnel.
- Contribute to new equipment and process industrialization and start-ups.
- Participate in Maintenance QRQC.
- Pilot PDCA/FTA and Maintenance 5 WHYs on topics assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Prepare LLC and Kaizen Cards.
- Participate in maintenance budget preparation and propose potential organization improvements.
- Promote the Valeo 5 axes in daily activities, develop improvement plans on VPS, IP, TQ, and reach assigned V targets.
