We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. as a Sous Chef. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food products, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Kitchen Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the culinary industry, or a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of success in a fast-paced kitchen environment, excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and a strong commitment to quality and customer service.
