The LATAM Trade Compliance Manager will play a key role in ensuring the development and compliance of all trade and customs regulations for Tenneco entities in Latin America, including Automotive, special programs, TAX, and transfer pricing studies. This position will require heavy emphasis on teaming with internal and external business partners to access and share forward-looking information necessary to mitigate risk and maximize opportunities. The role will also involve proper flow of information between stakeholders, emphasizing tax-critical obligations. Trade operations activities may require coordination, management, and follow-up with different plants across the region, as well as notification to authorities of any changes related to registries, programs, or certification. Experience in managing attorneys or consultants, handling taxes focused on trade and customs operations, and leading people to convey in different projects and goals in parallel is required.
Requirements- Comfortable with tax considerations of trade programs.
- Experienced in complying with all trade and customs programs.
- Experienced in navigating SAT hurdles under tight timelines focused on trade and customs programs.
- Knowledgeable in customs processes, regulations, resources, tools, and special operations (change of regime, virtual operation, CTMs procedures).
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Demonstrated skills in Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with the automotive industry and SAP.
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration and customer-focused working environments.
