Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Event Planning Director to join our team at the Hilton Cancun in Cancun, Mexico. As a key member of our wedding planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all weddings and events at our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to maximize wedding opportunities and increase revenue through upselling and cross-selling of function items.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, guests, and team members to understand their needs and preferences, and work to deliver exceptional service and quality standards.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the wedding planning department, including implementation of sales strategies and meeting and event space management.
  • Train and develop the Wedding Team Members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality services and meet customer expectations.
  • Audit and control all wedding-related reservations and blocks to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in event planning or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in increasing revenue through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
