Job Summary
The Commodity Buyer will be responsible for developing and managing the supplier panel for a specific commodity segment, selecting suppliers based on Faurecia's group criteria, and applying purchasing policy to ensure continuous improvement of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the supplier panel for a specific commodity segment
- Select suppliers based on Faurecia's group criteria
- Apply purchasing policy to ensure continuous improvement of QCD performance
- Identify and lead ideas and initiatives to improve global productivity and achieve or surpass financial objectives
- Monitor supplier Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance and challenge suppliers when they fall short of targets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
- 3 years of experience in purchasing functions
- SAP experience preferred
- Excellent Excel and Word skills
- Strong communication skills
- Able to accommodate 15% to 20% travel (domestic and international)
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia's Code of Ethics and Code of Management
