Laundry Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team at JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify stained or damaged items and determine their status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in the load.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered.

Requirements

• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Support the team to reach common goals.
