Key Responsibilities- Build solutions and provide technical guidance to customers
- Advocate for customers and ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
- Develop trusting relationships with customers and understand their business needs and technical challenges
- Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
- Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives
- Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
- Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
- Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and detailed prelaunch planning
As a Cloud Technical Consultant, you will be part of a wider Enterprise Support team that provides post-sales, consultative expertise to our customers. You will work with talented cloud technologists and expand your knowledge of AWS products.
Requirements- 3+ years of experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, Service Delivery Manager, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, etc.
- Expertise in two or more technical domains (e.g. System administration, networking, programming, dev ops, security, compute, storage, databases, big data, analytics, etc.)
- Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to small and large audiences
- Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Professional experience with AWS and/or other cloud offerings such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating, transforming or modernising legacy customer solutions to/in the cloud
- Able to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications)
