About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at AIG. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that our policies meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze complex risk profiles to determine policy coverage and premiums.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and develop strategies to improve underwriting processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and excellence in underwriting.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in underwriting and risk management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Personal Property Underwriting or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex risk profiles and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and underwriting software.
