Infrastructure Operations Engineer

The Infrastructure Operations Engineering team (InfraOps) plays a critical role in ensuring the stability and performance of our infrastructure platforms. As an InfraOps engineer, you will serve as a subject matter expert, providing top-notch support for our infrastructure products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, reducing the maintenance burden of our software systems.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge bases to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
  • Embed with partner infrastructure teams to provide expert support and guidance, ensuring seamless integration with our infrastructure platforms.
  • Participate in incident response and mitigation efforts, working closely with engineers to resolve issues and improve our systems.
  • Own and operate software systems within your domain, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of internal and external knowledge bases, sharing your expertise and best practices with the team.

Requirements

  • Passion for customer service and ownership of the customer experience, including comprehensive issue resolution.
  • Understanding of support organizations and key indicators that drive supportability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Linux systems administration, including shell scripting and troubleshooting.
  • Experience debugging complex problems in distributed systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration solutions.
  • Understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud computing technology.
  • Experience with Go, Python, or similar languages.
  • Nice to have familiarity with Envoy or other service mesh solutions.

This role will be based in-office on a hybrid schedule, with the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. Please submit your resume in English.
