We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Polaris Inc.

Estimated Annual Salary: $80,000 - $110,000

Job Description

The Trade Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation of import/export documents and mitigating risks to the company by enhancing compliance programs, auditing shipments, and enforcing regulations.

This role requires close collaboration with Logistics, Customer Service, Planning, Materials, Engineering Procurement, and Purchasing Departments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Interface with brokers to ensure timely submission of customs clearance documents.
  • Manage Annex 24 inventory customs control and maintain electronic and physical records.
  • Evaluate commercial invoices and documents to ensure compliance with Mexico regulations.
  • Generate required documents for various operations, including ground, air, maritime, or virtual.
  • Approve Pedimentos upon validating their accuracy and meeting requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with cross-functional teams to prepare tariff classification processes.
  • Monitor and maintain Compliance Sharepoint, train users as needed, and maintain Pedimento matrices.
  • Issue weekly metrics to measure department performance.
  • Ensure Pedimento upload information into Aranxel via Enterprise or Interxel.
  • Monitor inspector programs and follow up with shipping teams on detected issues.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Intermediate experience in Import-Export operations.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain, freight forwarding, transportation, and Customs Brokerage.
  • Understanding of MX Customs regulations, IMMEX & PROSEC programs, IVA&IEPS, OEA, Rule 8.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced office team environment.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
