Job Summary:
Horizon Ag-Products is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production and distribution of our product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing and Packaging: Manufacture products according to specifications, including writing purchase orders for raw materials and packaging products for delivery.
- Inventory Control: Conduct daily checks and month-end reports to ensure sufficient materials are available.
- Quality Control: Test products during manufacturing and ship samples for lab tests.
- Machinery and Equipment Maintenance: Clean and repair equipment as needed to ensure efficient production.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, office, and surrounding yard area.
- Customer Service: Work with area salespeople and other Horizon personnel to ensure their success.
- Safety and Compliance: Attend monthly safety meetings and maintain a safe working environment.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain inventory records using Excel and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to [insert weight] pounds.
- Climbing: Ability to climb ladders.
- Machinery Operation: General knowledge of machinery operation and repair.
- Forklift Operation: Ability to operate a forklift and pass forklift training.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening.
Working Conditions:
This is a 12-hour shift position, working 4-6 days per week (days and nights). The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, and demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, colleagues, and external business entities.
