About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Leggett & Platt Automotive. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Operational Excellence plan, focusing on lean tools and methodologies to drive labor efficiencies and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements.
  • Maintain a culture of Operational Excellence, teaching, coaching, and mentoring site employees on lean and problem-solving tools.
  • Facilitate and lead structured process improvement projects to reduce rework and scrap, and quickly adapt to financial gaps by adjusting timing of improvement plans.
  • Use metrics to provide support to process owners in linking projects to strategic operational objectives.
  • Adhere to internal and external Business Processes and Certifications synonymous with a large US Incorporation operating within the Automotive Industry.
  • Fulfill assigned primary, secondary, and tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial/manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in hands-on operational roles in supply chain management, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Automotive experience.
  • Experience in applying Lean Thinking principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in injection molding.
  • Experience in project management.
  • MUST Speak English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of LEAN principles and methodologies.
  • Well-versed in Six Sigma, ability to lead DMAIC projects.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred.
  • Ability to develop focused team activities, facilitate collaboration, and cross-functional Kaizen events.
  • Ability to lead structured data-driven problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS office.
