We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at HELLA Automotive Mexico S.A. de C.V. as a Product Design Engineer. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the development of innovative and high-quality automotive products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop 3D and 2D models using CAD software (Catia V5) for concept and detail work.
- Utilize common development tools for feasibility confirmation, including FEM, CFD, DFA, DFM, and FMEA.
- Track functional maturity and escalate deviations, implementing countermeasures as needed.
- Monitor and meet timing and costs targets, escalating deviations and defining countermeasures.
- As part of the design team, be responsible for System Development of design characteristics for assigned subassemblies, including Styling, Handling, and Manufacturing.
- Have basic knowledge of Electronics Interface (Harness, PCBA's).
- Have experience as a designer for manufacturing, especially for injected plastic components.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in automotive product design.
- Very good knowledge of CAD (Catia V5, NX), DFA, and DFM.
- Good knowledge of the injection molding process and tooling technology.
- Knowledge of SAP PLM.
- Language skills: English and German (added advantage).
