Job Summary
As a Diagnostic Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the Diagnostic department's proficiencies and efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and repairing complex electronic circuit board assemblies, while minimizing Engineering and Component hold assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies to component level, with a focus on minimal Engineering and Component hold assemblies.
- Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to troubleshoot and repair complex assemblies.
- Collaborate with the Test Engineering department to evaluate data and improve diagnosis efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and EC documents.
- Provide training and guidance to Diagnostic Technicians on technical procedures and best practices.
- Work closely with customers to resolve advanced diagnostic issues, including travel to customer sites as needed.
- Recommend staffing levels and assist in recruiting Diagnostic Technicians.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical inference.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present information to groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and read visual aids.
