**Job Summary**
Corning Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader II to lead our manufacturing operations team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising the performance of individuals or a team of associates who assemble components and process raw materials into finished products in an industrial environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and enforce systems, policies, and procedures to achieve manufacturing results.
- Focus on delivering changes through people development and management, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in daily core team and quality meetings to meet and exceed business unit goals and metrics.
- Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, and revising schedules as needed.
- Maintain updated manufacturing information and ensure a safe culture and clean work environment in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Participate in weekly meetings and Performance Review of Operations meetings to discuss status and improvement plans.
- Manage vacations and attendance for direct reports and supervise and coordinate various company programs.
- Support Value Stream Map creation and maintenance, and act as a point of contact for new product/process introductions.
- Lead and participate in improvement and cost reduction projects, ensuring certification and training of all personnel assigned.
- Coordinate monthly PSA inventory activities and participate in TL9000 and ISO 14000 audits to maintain certification.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing field, with 3 or more years of experience in leading and/or supervising personnel.
- Understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping, Quality Systems, and TPM knowledge.
- Basic Project Management experience and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Dynamic and able to manage multiple activities and prioritize, with strong leadership skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
