**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a Transportation Logistics Coordinator to be based in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, at our Salvarcar Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and routing inbound and outbound shipments of freight for border operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Schedule and monitor all border logistics operations in the US and Mexico
• Coordinate all import and export operations for warehouses, sterilization sites, and external manufacturers
• Partner with RTO Corporate Logistics to support US supplier operations and services, such as container idling
• Ensure transportation resources meet all local and government requirements, such as trailer container conditions and maintenance
• Ensure transportation service providers that require access to J&J facilities are appropriately trained and have the necessary equipment and access in partnership with EHS, Security, and Warehouse teams
• Manage claims and material non-conformance investigations, documentation, and closures for local transportation providers
• Analyze transportation planning opportunities to reduce transportation costs
• Verify purchase order or bill information to enable freight charges to be paid and entered in the correct budgets
• Interface with various groups, including Materials/Planning and plant production departments, and monitor orders from start to finish to ensure on-time delivery of products
• Prepare for carrier contract negotiations, conducting research into transportation spend and supplier rates
• Collect and accumulate data and statistics used in monthly reports and carrier performance reports
• Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level
• For those who supervise or manage a staff, ensure that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
• Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
• Perform other duties assigned as needed
**Requirements:**
• University/Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
• Generally, Requires 2-4 Years Work Experience
• Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures
• Experience using medical device equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele base
• Experience maintaining ledgers and other fiscal documents
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures and in compliance with civil rights requirements
• Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices
• Some operations and supply chain experience desired
• Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaboration are required
• Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary
• Ability to show strategic thinking
• Strong project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information
• Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain)
