Data Scientist, Predictive Modeling Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Nielsen, a leading provider of data and analytics solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing predictive modeling solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Predictive Models: Develop and deploy recommendation engine models to turn sparse datasets into synthetic datasets, using techniques such as machine learning and data modeling.
- Prove Model Validity: Conduct analytic research to validate the predictive power of models, and present results to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Iterative Modeling: Use iterative modeling techniques to determine the ideal parameters for sparse data, and consult with internal and external partners on the best way to source ideal sparse data.
- Support Data Science Team: Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior data scientists, and support the development of new data science capabilities.
- Drive Business Growth: Develop and implement strategies to scale new models across increasingly larger datasets, and drive business growth through data-driven insights.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Social Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in predictive modeling and machine learning.
- Skills: Strong skills in Python, R, and other scripting languages, as well as knowledge of statistical tests and procedures, machine learning techniques, and data visualization tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
