We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to lead our Mexico Operations facility as the Manager-Human Resources. This key role will be responsible for developing and executing talent and culture strategies that drive operational excellence, organizational agility, and an engaging employee experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Strong Relationships: Foster positive employee relations by spending time on the manufacturing floor, working with managers and supervisors, and developing a strong communications strategy.
- Drive Employee Engagement: Deploy effective communication plans and utilize assessment tools to determine organizational issues and action plans.
- Manage HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR operations and develop the onsite Human Resources Team.
- Talent Management: Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes, including talent acquisition, assessment, performance management, and employee development.
- Support Plant Operations: Provide strategic guidance and support to plant operations through headcount planning, workforce planning, and recruitment.
- HR Metrics and Analytics: Own HR metrics, responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing data.
- Leadership and Development: Provide strategic and consultative leadership guidance and mentoring, develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges, and lead/coach others through change.
- Succession Planning: Identify critical positions and develop succession strategies, identify high potential associates for development, and recommend and implement developmental assignments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all necessary regulatory compliance and risk management issues are addressed in accordance with geographic regulations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resource management, industrial/labor relations, or psychology, with postgraduate training in Human Resources or Management preferred.
- Experience: Minimum five years' experience in Human Resources, with an emphasis on business partnership, operational excellence, and culture transformation, and proven abilities in leading best-in-class people strategies in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Skills: Experience in multiple core functions of HR, including manufacturing HR team leadership, labor relations, employee relations, compensation, recruiting, talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, and org effectiveness, labor law, union, benefits, ethics, etc.
- Cultural Transformation: Understand the changing and dynamic workforce landscape in Mexico manufacturing and its labor market, and experience with cultural transformation (turnaround) facility.
- Leadership: Leadership experience, building effective teams, and proven ability to balance strategic and tactical skills.
- Problem Analysis and Resolution: Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution, consultative HR partnership, accountability, ownership, and ability to execute, data-driven, computer (HR tools and systems) savvy, and experience with lean, six sigma, and/or continuous improvement.
