Job Summary
Corning Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead and supervise the performance of individuals or a team of associates in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and lean principles, with experience in leading and/or supervising personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and priorities to meet quality, cost, delivery, morale, and safety goals.
- Lead and participate in improvement and cost reduction projects, including Value Stream Map creation and maintenance.
- Assure the certification and training of all personnel assigned, and coordinate monthly PSA inventory activities.
- Participate in TL9000 and ISO 14000 audits to maintain certification.
- Contribute to CAPAS documentation, implementation, and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience in the manufacturing field, with 0-2 years of experience in leading and/or supervising personnel.
- Understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping.
- Quality Systems and TPM knowledge.
