Senior PHP Developer Job Description

Software International is seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our team. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing, debugging, and maintaining website applications using our in-house methodologies and process flows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex website applications using PHP and frameworks like Laravel and Symfony.
  • Solve technical issues and provide architectural input for modifications to existing systems.
  • Work closely with the project manager and senior staff to ensure stated business objectives are met.
  • Develop and implement RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture.
  • Optimize interactions with backend storage, such as MySQL.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and experience with frameworks like Laravel and Symfony.
  • Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture.
  • Usable understanding of front-end technologies.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with optimizing interactions with backend storage, such as MySQL.
  • Experience developing in a largely-distributed environment.
  • Experience working with online payment gateways such as PayPal, Stripe, PayU, Square, Visa, or others.
Preferred Skills:
  • Linux-based systems administration.
  • Knowledge of open source solutions like AWS.
  • Proficient understanding when committing code to Git, Branching and Merging code.
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
  • Payment Gateway Integration.

This is a contract position with a renewable term, and the ideal candidate will be eager to make an impact on the organization. Excellent written and oral English communication skills are required, as the team is dispersed all over the globe and English is the common language.
