Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex website applications using PHP and related technologies.
- Solve technical issues and provide timely communication of issues and status information to Team Leads.
- Provide architectural input for modifications to existing systems and create new systems from the ground up.
- Work closely with the project manager and senior staff to ensure stated business objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of PHP and experience with frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or similar.
- Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture.
- Usable understanding of front-end technologies.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with optimizing interactions with backend storage, such as MySQL.
- Experience developing in a largely-distributed environment.
- Experience working with online payment gateways such as PayPal, Stripe, PayU, Square, Visa, or others.
Preferred Skills:
- Linux-based systems administration.
- Knowledge of open source solutions like AWS.
- Proficient understanding when committing code to Git, Branching, and Merging code.
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Payment Gateway Integration.

Software International supplies technical talent to Fortune 100/500/1000 companies in Canada/US. We currently have a long-term, renewable contract as a Senior PHP Developer with our web development and new media marketing client that primarily supports North American clients on various website and backend infrastructure services.
Location: Remote (Canada/US or South America)
Rate: $39/hr (approx $6,240 CDN/month, $4,500 USD/month)
