Carrier Engineering Leadership Program

Carrier is seeking talented engineering graduates to join our competitive Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). This program offers new graduates an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through three eight-month rotations across various Carrier business units.

As a member of the ELP, you will receive front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch your capabilities and accelerate your professional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, the program includes high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.

Our Disruptive Climate Solutions and Integrated Energy Systems team is evolving to maintain Carrier's leadership in the market through investments in advanced research, technologies, and methods that will shape the future of our products and services. As part of this transformation, we are hiring and empowering a recently graduated electrical engineer to help us innovate and pursue sustainable solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop projects assigned by interacting with team members from different facilities.
  • Manage your own workflow for assigned projects.
  • Adapt to new teams, learn continuously, and improve processes.
  • Support electronics engineers to modify products.
  • Update engineering drawings and bill of materials.
  • Participate in cost reduction and quality improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechatronics, digital systems, or robotics engineering.
  • Average academic grade point must be greater than or equal to 90.
  • Be an August or December 2025 graduate of the relevant degree and start in the Leadership Program at Summer 2025.
  • Relevant internships or co-op experiences are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot electronics schematics.
  • Familiarity with standard office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Familiarity with using Altium or similar PCB software for schematic and layout interpretation.
  • Knowledge of programming software such as C++, Python, Java, or similar is highly desirable.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in software testing techniques, including manual testing, automated testing, and regression testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and protocols commonly used in embedded systems development (e.g., Modbus, RS485, BACnet).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA / DevOps) is preferred.

Soft skills:

  • Proactive and results-driven; thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities.
  • Able to identify and develop continuous improvement projects to influence and drive change.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration products is preferred.
  • Ability to solve challenging and complex customer requests.
