We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marine Corps Community Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related fixtures and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform plumbing repairs, including repairs that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, resealing, replacing defective parts or units of utility, supply, and disposal systems
  • Install water heaters, garbage disposal units, faucets, and sinks
  • Rekey/recode and replace digital door locking systems
  • Perform carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, and constructing or repairing wood or wood substitute items
  • Conduct gardening tasks, including keeping lodging facilities in a desirable condition and maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school
  • At least two years of experience demonstrating knowledge in the trade

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to dirt, paint vapors, and fumes. You must be able to lift, carry, and set up materials and equipment, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. You will also be required to wear issued protective gear when needed.
